Teaching Bio:

Hello! My name is Martina and I am a professional singing teacher based in Southampton, helping students of all ages and abilities develop their singing ability.

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Southampton studying Music. My main instrument as a performer is singing. I would be delighted to help you to develop your singing ability, using all that I have learned through many years of studying music.

I have been classically trained in both voice and piano since the age of 12 following the ABRSM system. However, I love to sing a mixture of genres such as jazz, soul or pop meaning that you can learn by singing the music that you are passionate about. I would be able to accompany my students in whatever genre they wish to sing, helping them to develop their confidence and vocal strength through individually tailored singing lessons.

I teach from the University of Southampton campus, with great transport links from across the city for you to come and take lessons with me. To book your first singing lesson with me, or to find out more about my vocal coaching, simply get in touch by emailing martinastramaccioni@singinglessonssouthampton.com.

Teaching Bio:

Stephanie is a Southampton based composer, singer and teacher. She graduated in 2011 from the University of Southampton with BA English and Music, where she pursued her love of singing. She specialises in musical theatre but has also got experience with other vocal genres, including classical and pop. She has sung at weddings, birthdays and anniversaries as well as performing in numerous productions over the past 7 years. She was awarded ‘Best Supporting Actress’ for her performance as ‘Adult Female’ in Spring Awakening in 2012 by the Daily Echo Curtain Call Awards. Stephanie is also a Musical Director and has taught, rehearsed and conducted the music to several productions.

As well as her work as a performer, Stephanie was one of the lead teachers at ‘Strictly Showtime’, working with children aged 4-12 who wanted to be involved in a show. She taught dance and singing, and helped the students rehearse for a public performances. Stephanie is currently a guest lecturer at the University of Winchester, and is working with the Vocal and Choral studies students on their Performance Project, a bespoke new musical that she has written for them with her writing partner, Teddy Clements.

Alongside her career as a singer and teacher, Stephanie is a musical theatre composer. She has written six new musicals, four of which have been performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, with her latest, award-winning show ‘Tomorrow, Maybe’ succeeding in a sell-out run in at Edinburgh Fringe 2016. She has recently worked with Forest Forge theatre on their ‘Connections Project’, which involved running workshops in primary and senior schools, aiding the students in creating and performing their own folk songs. Stephanie finds that her career as a singer and a composer complement and enhance each other – she is constantly inspired by different vocals, but at the same time has a unique ability to create bespoke songs for specific singers, either to show off their vocal, or to challenge them.

Stephanie is a flexible, approachable and enthusiastic singer and her main aim is to ensure her students find the same joy and love for music that she has. To book your first singing lesson with Stephanie simply get in touch by emailing stephanieamies@singinglessonssouthampton.com.
